Coming Spring 2024

In the spring of next year, I’ll be releasing my latest album, Long Lost Son. It’s a collection of songs that take you through what it’s like to turn pain into love. These songs helped me dig through questions about my journey to the US from Guatemala, my father’s abandonment, and my recovery from a trying childhood using the tools of time, storytelling, and forgiveness. I had the honor of working with Grammy Winner Alex Cuba, who arranged and produced these songs, as well as played every instrument on this album. His contribution is impossible to overstate. I often tell him I handed him seeds and a few months later he handed me flowers. The result is a poignant bundle of songs about the very heart of matters. I made it to tell you my story, but I hope as you listen, you’ll find your own.

Solo Debut

My 2014 solo debut was co-produced by Grammy Winner Edson Gianesi, formerly from the East LA band Quetzal. It was featured on NPR's Alt.Latino as well as Weekend Edition Sunday, and made NPR's favorite songs of 2014 list. The standout track, Caminante Caminando, was a John Lennon Songwriting Contest finalist in the Latin category that year.

Rumbo Rumba

In 2010, I joined forces with Salt Lake City arranger/producer Aaron De Azevedo to form a Latin Pop-Rock band and release an EP of original songs. The release's standout track was featured on NPR's Alt.Latino
